D-LINK DAP1650 EXTENDER SETUP
The D-Link DAP1650 extender brings wireless connectivity to those areas of your house that are out of reach of your Wi-Fi router. It can be configured to operate in three different modes: Access Point, Extender, and Media Bridge. The DAP-1650 lets you set up the channels that each wireless band uses to turn the network on and off automatically. D-Link DAP-1650 extender has a power status indicator and an Internet status indicator at the front, and at the back are four gigabit Ethernet ports. OPERATION MODES
The D-Link DAP1650 extender has operational modes, enabling you to customize the device according to your networking requirements.
Access Point mode
You can use Access Point mode to connect wireless clients (like laptops, tablets, and smartphones) to your existing wired network. Multiple wireless devices can connect wirelessly to the network at the same time. Then you need to go to the Wireless Utility and select the Wi-Fi Network Name broadcasted by the access point in order to access the network. If wireless security is enabled on the Access Point, you must enter a password to connect to the Wi-Fi Network.
Extender Mode
Now you can use Extender Mode to extend the range of your existing wireless network by repeating the wireless signal of another access point or wireless router. Now the extender and the existing wireless router must be within the range of each other. The extended wireless network can use the same Wi-Fi name and security settings as the existing network or you can choose a new network name and security settings.
Media Bridge mode
The D-Link DAP-1650 extender creates a wireless link between two existing networks, enabling you to attach a wired device to a wireless network in Media Bridge mode. Then two networks must be within the wireless reach of one another in order for Media Bridge mode to be effective

- Next enter your username and password.
- Your media will be categorized according to media type.
