The D-Link DRA-2060 Setup Process

The setup process for your D-Link DRA2060 range extender remains almost the same as compared to other range extenders. However there can be a difference in terms of the user-interface of the mobile app or the web-based setup wizard. However, you don’t have to
worry about anything stopping you from accessing the internet. Here are some steps you can follow:

Note: If you haven’t downloaded the D-Link Wi-Fi app, you can do the same from your device respective app store. If already downloaded, you will need to ensure that it is on the latest version.

  • From the list of options visible, click on the “Install New Device” option.
  • Click on the “Scan the QR Code” option and use the scanner on the app to scan the same from the extender device.
  • Make sure that you are connected to the Wi-Fi network and click on the Next button. The app will show a ring indicating that the device is waiting for the detecting device to finish processing.
  • Under Wirelessly on the next page, click on the Select button.

Relocating the DRA-2060 extender

  • Place the DRA-2060 between the area where your router signals are at least 50% strong and then click on the Next button.
  • Power On your device and click on the Next button. Wait for some time to allow the device to power on itself. The mobile app will now connect to the DRA-2060 network.
  • Select the range extender network from the list and click on the Next button.
  • In the next window, enter the Wi-Fi password and click on the Next button.
  • From the nest page, again click on the Next button.
  • From the next window, you will be asked to assign a device access password. Once you do, click on the Next button.
  • Again click on the Next button. On the next screen, click on the Save button.
  • Allow some time for the settings to be saved. Make sure that the LED on the sides of the device has turned Solid Green. Click on the Next button once confirmed. Click on the Next button again.
  • On the next window, enter the assigned admin password once again and click on the Next button.
  • From the next “Install Updates Automatically” window, check mark the first option “Keep my device updated automatically” and click on the Next button.
  • The final screen will appear in front of you with the details of your newly set up network. You can record these details for future reference. Once done, click on the Save button.
